A year in Outfits: 2013!

As the year draws to an end, let's reflect on the past 12 months and some of my favourite outfits of 2013. Where do I begin; 2013 has been so good to me! Still a little bit baffled by how fast this year has gone by but I can happily say that 2013 has been the best year of my life so far; here is to hoping that 2014 is even better. Looking back at some of my past outfit photos is most definitely the weirdest thing ever as I've noticed quite a bit of a change in my personal style.

Bright colours and Prints are a huge part of my style/wardrobe and that will not be changing anytime soon but I have however enjoyed experimenting with different trends and colour palettes that aren't exactly in my element. I have always been about practicality, why buy buy buy when you can mix and match the old and the new pieces in your wardrobe to create unique looks?! Creating this blog is one of the best things I have ever done; thank you for reading, thank you for putting up with my never-ending paragraphs and most of all THANK YOU so much for supporting this wee blog of mine. 

All you lovely people who followed my blog this year, I see you! Yes, I notice every single one of you. Thank you for all the amazing emails, tweets and thumbs up; your words really do keep me going. "Nokhuthula, contain yourself, don't get all mushy now." 

I have achieved a lot this year fashion wise and it's all thanks to you guys supporting this blog! My greatest moments included being chosen as one of the winners of the River Island Styled by You Competition and being given the opportunity to style a photoshoot for Company Magazine(My Feature), being featured in one of South Africa's biggest magazines, True Love Magazine (Have a look through my 'Featured in' page), attending my very first London Fashion Week, getting invited to feature in New Look's Fashion Film (Watch it HERE), my feature in the Echo Newspaper and Mail online, not forgetting all the interviews with Stylefruits, Hot&Trendy Mag, Stylight; some with other bloggers too. I have also been working as a freelance stylist this past year and it went really well; my most recent shoot was featured and published in Freque Magazine, their November Issue which was surreal. What I would say is my greatest achievement this year is bagging a job I had always wanted; I became a Visual Merchandiser in 2013 and I just adore my job. I am also now a Fashion/Entertainment Writer for Birthday Magazine and my very first article was published last week. I could go on and on but I wouldn't want to bore you guys or keep you here longer than you have to, besides that is what archives are there for right? I don't really set any New Year's resolutions as I prefer to take life on, one step at a time so 2014 for me is a mystery.

I've traveled a lot, ate a lot, snapped over 10,000 photos, made some amazing friends along the way and blogged my heart out. It's been a wonderful year and it's all down to you guys, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I wish you all a very very happy 2014 filled with joy, love and success! It's a blank page, the first day of your 365 day story; write it well!

Here is to an even more colourful and crazier 2014!
