2017 in Review, 2018 at a Glance

Let me just start by saying THANK YOU! Thank you for reading, thank you for supporting and thank you for being loyal to this wee blog of mine. As 2017 comes to a close, I'm reflecting on goals met, lessons learnt and setting new goals for 2018. If you were hoping for a New Year, New me speech; I'm sorry to disappoint but that's a speech I never give. One of the goals I made at the very beginning of 2017 was to exercise a lot more and looking at my exercise routine now, I've definitely kicked it up a notch. I took up Running this year, never did I think that I'd be running 4km three times a weeks. It's also helped with keeping my IBS under control which is extremely important because as you know, University can get stressful. Stress causes IBS to flare up which isn't ideal. I plan on carrying this on into 2018 along with a balanced diet, consistency and motivation. Health truly is the new wealth so here's to thriving for top notch mental well-being in 2018 and for years to come.
My biggest and most proudest moment of 2017 was getting into University to study Human Nutrition and Dietetics. This had been my dream for a very long time and now that I'm doing it, I'm forever grateful for the opportunity. The hard work has only just begun but that's okay, I'm ready to dive in.. I've tried to wake up with a positive mind everyday the past year which helped make bad days seem bearable. Positivity can help you appreciate what you have, it can help you appreciate your life and everyone in it. I know its not always rainbows and butterflies, sometimes you just want to crawl under a rock and hide but remember this, no matter how bad your days get, it's not going to last forever. It's going to get better. With the right mindset, you can get through anything so here's to entering 2018 with Positive Vibes only.

So 2018 I'm thinking: Exercise often, Eat right, Travel more, Yoga classes, Sleep enough, Pass my first year of Dietetics and well, just be..

Finally why not make everyday like the weekend? You do have time after work to hit the gym, you can go for a bike ride, go meet up with friends; whatever you fancy, the world is your oyster.

Another year finished and I'm still no expert when it comes to finding happiness. However, it's the small things that supposedly make a difference right so why not start here?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you so much for sticking with my blog through the years.
I hope you have a wonderful night.
