*Vivid Matcha Green Tea Powder Review

Saturday 14 July 2018

There is no love than that of tea! Okay so maybe I'm being a little dramatic but anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm an avid fan of all things tea, particularly matcha. The lovely people at Vivid Matcha kindly sent me their Green tea powder to try and can I just say that it didn't disappoint. But it doesn't stop there. Why make it tea alone when you can go a step further by making a delicious batch of Matcha pancakes. So let's dive right into the details.

Matcha is a very refreshing way to start the day and Vivid Matcha definitely does the job. It does have a slight bitter taste to it but you only tast that if you make tea with it. In pancakes however, you do not taste the bitterness due to the sweet toppings. Overall, its great value, good quality, doesn't taste that bad and comes in a pouch, easy to carry around. So, here's the recipe for the matcha pancakes, give them a try.

Prep : 5mins                                                                           Makes: 7-10

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup almond flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tbs Matcha powder

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup almond milk

1 tsp olive oil

METHOD:

Whisk matcha, flour and baking powder together in a bowl. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until batter is combined.

Grease saucepan lightly with oil; heat over medium heat and add 2 or 3 spoonfuls of batter. Cook until small bubbles start to rise then flip pancake over and cook until edges are golden brown.

Add your toppings and serve.

Of course, I had to have some Matcha tea on the side.
