Pursuit of Happiness: 2 0 1 7

I'm not going to give that whole new year, new me speech because I don't intend on changing much at all. I do have a few new goals that I'd like achieve in 2017 but I'll leave details for another day. Improved mental well-being is linked to regular exercise and a healthy diet! Takeout has been banished from my house for 2 years now and exercise plus vegetables have become nothing less than the norm. You'd be surprised how big of a difference exercise and eating healthy makes to the way you feel. Of course, exercise and a healthy diet are not enough to truly make an individual happy but it sure is a start.
Positivity plays a huge part in being happy and there is a saying I try to live by everyday which makes even bad days seem okay. "The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way!" If you learn to appreciate your life; accept that this is the point you are at right now and make the most of what comes your way; you will be on your way to being content.

Because I work out regularly and eat right, I've noticed that I'm drinking a lot more than I used to. No, I'm not talking about alcohol; I'm talking about good ol' water. Dehydration makes us humans cranky so its essential that you drink enough. Keeping my IBS under control is now an important part of my life, diet is a huge part of it and so I've had to learn to resist that much needed tub of ice cream every weekend. Instead, a bowl of greek yoghurt topped with strawberries and blueberries works a treat.

Why not also crank up some tunes whilst you're at it? Music is something we can all relate to and supprisingly, it can help you let out frustrations and some can possibly give you a rush. I feel really happy everytime I listen to 'rather be' by Jess Glynne, it reaffirms my goal of travel around Asia. I'm obsessed with all things Asian; from the food to the fashion; the culture and architecture. I must travel starting with my favourite 3, Japan, China and South Korea. Finally why not make everyday like the weekend? You do have time after work to hit the gym, you can go for a bike ride, go meet up with friends; whatever you fancy, the world is your oyster. Just ensure that you always get enough sleep!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, MAY 2017 BRING YOU SO MUCH LOVE AND JOY!
