There's nothing quite like a good bowl of pasta; things can only get better when it turns out to be organic and gluten free. Thank you to the lovely team at Orwell Health for gifting me with one of their green soybean pasta for reviewing. For all you gluten free pasta lovers out there, this is one product you just might enjoy. So, who is Orwell? Orwell creates nutrient-packed healthy foods that are 100% Organic. All their Soya products are made from raw soybeans sourced from a friendship farm in Russia meaning the whole farming process is free from chemicals or pesticides. This is clean eating at its best, it's vegan friendly and using my little package, I've whipped up a nutritious, protein packed carrot and mushroom stir fry perfect for a gorgeous summer's day. Just toss the pasta in with olive oil, all your favourite vegetables and some seasoning. Oh yes dear friends, you're already half way there.
For those who suffer from IBS, gluten intolerances and coeliac disease, this pasta has the added benefit that it is entirely gluten-free. Let's talk taste; the texture is a little tougher than that of normal pasta but thankfully is was just that little bit more hearty and filling. This is a great healthier option packed with protein, one that's definitely worth a try.
What you need:
- Orwell Organic Gluten Free Green Soybean Pasta
- Baby carrots
- Pack of mushrooms
- Spinach
- 1 tbspn olive oil
- 2 tbpns light soy sauce
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Method:
- Boil some water in a pan and add in pasta. Cook for 3 minutes, drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in large wok. Fry spinach, mushrooms and carrots, mix frequently.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and add in 1/4 cup water and soy sauce.
- Simmer for 4-5 mins.
- Serve.
Would I recommend this pasta? Yes 100%.
